We are now arriving at Exhibit No. 6. This exhibit has fourteen different Buddhist statues. The elegant design and quality craftsmanship of the crystal, jade, wood, and stone can be directly perceived.
The central image of Shakyamuni Buddha has a topknot, a wide and even forehead, and straight bushy eyebrows. His eyes narrowly look down. He has a prominent, well-proportioned nose, and big ears with stretched lobes. He has a naturally calm, quiet, and reflective temperament.
This bust of Shakyamuni Buddha was collected by the 100-year-old Elder Master Sing Hung (founding Abbot of Cham Shan Temple and the Buddhist Association of Canada), making it especially valuable.
