Amitabha! Welcome to the Museum of Buddhist Art at Wutai Shan Buddhist Garden in Canada. You are currently viewing the first exhibit. In total, there are seven Buddhist statues including: Guanyin Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva Maitreya, and Vajradhara Buddha. The bodhisattva statue on the far right wears a high bun and a crown, with a high forehead and plump cheeks. Her eyes are slightly downcast, and her left hand holds a bracelet in the Mudra of Teaching, gently resting on her right hand. She sits mindfully on a stone with her left knee raised. The statue is exquisitely lifelike and vivid. The third statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva on the left wears a five-leafed flower crown and has a topknot on the head. He wears a robe that exposes the right shoulder and sits with his feet hanging on a lotus throne. The whole statue has a sloping shoulder and a slender waist, which is a typical Vajrayana Buddhist statue. All seven statues are made of copper, evoking an even greater sense of reverence and awe.
