釋迦牟尼佛

The Buddha (also known as Siddhartha Gautama or Buddha Shakyamuni) was a philosopher, meditator, spiritual teacher, and religious leader who lived in Ancient India (5th to 6th century BCE). He is revered as the founder of the world religion of Buddhism, and worshipped by most Buddhists as the Enlightened One who has transcended karma and escaped samsara, the cycle of rebirth. You will often see Shakyamuni Buddha in a seated posture with his left hand holding an alms bowl.
