Frequently Asked Questions
1. When does the registration period start?
Registration for the Class of 2025 will begin in April 2025 on a first-come, first-
served basis. There is a class limit of 25 students, and once this maximum is
reached, no further registrations will be accepted.
2. Are all courses and materials delivered in English, or will there be content in
Chinese?
All classes and associated reading materials are conducted entirely in English.
3. Are there any prerequisites or prior knowledge required for admission to the
program?
No prior knowledge is required. However, applicants’ language proficiency will be
assessed during the interview as part of the admission process.
4. May I request a detailed course outline with more information than what is
provided in the brochure?
Detailed course outlines are available exclusively to students who have been
formally accepted into the program.
5. How will my performance be assessed? Are there any tests, exams, or
assignments?
There are no formal evaluations such as tests or exams. However, full attendance
and active participation are mandatory.
6. What is the attendance policy?
Attendance will be taken at every class by asking for your initials. We understand
that emergencies can arise, so there is a buffer period allowed. You may miss up to
four classes in total (with no more than one class in the same course) and still
qualify for the certificate.
7. Is the tuition fee of $2,500 inclusive of taxes?
Yes, the tuition fee includes all applicable taxes.
8. Does the tuition fee cover the cost of course materials, parking, and meals?
The tuition fee includes course materials and parking fees. Meals are not included.
9. What payment methods are available?
We accept payments through Email Transfer, Bank Draft, Money Order, Personal
Cheques (in CAD and USD), and Wire Transfer.
10.What is the refund policy?
Please note that all tuition payments are non-refundable.
11.Are transportation services provided?
Yes, BCC offers round-trip transportation services from Cham Shan Temple to
Wutai Shan Buddhist Garden for a fee of $40. Cham Shan Temple is located at 7254
Bayview Avenue, Thornhill, ON L3T 2R6.
